Journalism
Originally I wasn't the biggest fan of writing because I never knew the best or the "professional" way to deliver my thoughts. However, I was always a fan of storytelling. After the protest I hosted in 2020, I suddenly found myself writing more and more.
A large appreciation and shoutout to the Richmond Pulse, they sparked my interest in story telling through journalism and gave me the platform to do so. I went from being interviewed to writing articles myself.
Articles by and including me through Richmond Pulse

I've been featured in other articles such as "Gimmie the Stimmy" by 101 Magazine.
When I wasn't writing or working or attending Howard classes, I suddenly found myself...in a different school!
I was granted the opportunity to attend a Fellowship with UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. I attended a class with Sarah Ravani an East Bay Reporter of the San Francisco Chronicle as the professor. I was taught the pros and cons of being a writer and what it's like in the field of journalism.

While attending Howard University I was a member of the First Investigative Team, an investigative reporter, on The Hilltop a student-led newspaper co-founded by our alumna Zora Neale Hurston. I worked on two articles (which will be published Fall 2023) investigating the protest held on Howard University's campus along with the rest of the team.
My personal favorite is "We Need to Talk About Black Mental Health"
